Compatibility
Java Script It! gears it's applications for version 3 browsers and above for both Netscape's Navigator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Generally, the applets and java scripts applications require a minimum of a version 3 browser while the DHTML applications require a minimum of a version 4 browser. Some applications will also work in Netscape's Navigator version 2. Each applications' Info section contains a browser compatibility chart.
Browser Preview Window
Java Script It! contains an internal browser that allows you to view the effects you add to your document within Java Script It!. For the Browser Preview Window to work, Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 4 or higher must be installed on your system. If you do not have Internet Explorer version 4 or higher then you will need to uncheck the Browser Preview Window menu item found under the View menu or else an error will occur.
Testing in Browsers
Java Script It! allows you to link an external browser for testing the effects you add. You can set the Test Browser in the Preferences Dialogue Box which can be accessed under the File menu. By default, your default browser is used. To test a document that is opened in Java Script It! just choose the Test menu item found under the Commands menu.
